Abstract:
107 black and white photos (removed from album) taken presumably by an American diplomatic employee in Jordan. Includes two
large photos of the embassy staff with some people identified on the backs. Also includes two color postcards of Jordan, a
program titled "Beating Retreat Programme on the Occasions of the Visit of the American National War College in Jordan, Wednesday
20th March 1963," and other printed ephemera. At least 27 of the photos are of the interiors and exteriors of the Muashir
Hospital and the Palestine Hospital. Also includes photos of other unidentified interiors, work stations, and a costume party.
Prominent people identified include U.S. ambassador to Jordan William Macomber, Jr. and Dr. Sa'ad Muashir.
